How often should a school conduct evacuation drills for students?
I am the principal of an international school in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. We have 800 students. How often are we required to conduct fire evacuation drills for children and teachers?

Under NBC 2016 Part 4 and directives from the education board, educational occupancies (schools and colleges) must conduct fire drills at least once every term (or at least 3 times a year). The first drill of the academic year should be conducted within the first 14 days of opening so new students and staff become familiar with fire escapes.
