How to read the pressure gauge on an ABC dry chemical extinguisher?
We have several ABC chemical cylinders at our office in Mulund. I noticed the needle on one is pointing to the left in the red zone. What does this mean? Does it need replacement?

Yes, it needs immediate servicing/recharging. Stored pressure extinguishers have a gauge divided into three zones: • Green (Middle): The cylinder is at the correct operating pressure (typically 15 bar). • Red (Left / Undercharged): The cylinder has lost its nitrogen propellant gas. It will not have enough pressure to discharge the chemical powder when you squeeze the trigger. • Red (Right / Overcharged): The pressure is too high, posing a cylinder leak or valve failure risk.
