What are the building occupancy groups defined under NBC 2016?

I am preparing a fire safety manual for our warehouse in Vashi. What are the key building occupancy groups (like Group A, Group B, etc.) defined under the National Building Code?

Under NBC 2016, Part 4, buildings are classified into 9 occupancy groups based on hazard profiles:
Group A: Residential
Group B: Educational
Group C: Institutional (Hospitals)
Group D: Assembly (Theaters, Hotels)
Group E: Business (Offices)
Group F: Mercantile (Shops, Malls)
Group G: Industrial (Factories)
Group H: Storage (Warehouses)
Group J: Hazardous (Chemical storage)
Each group has specific water storage, escape path, and pump capacity rules.
