What is the standard evacuation time for a multi-story office building?
We are organizing an evacuation drill for our office in BKC, Mumbai. The building is 15 stories high. What is the target time our safety wardens should aim for to clear the building?

For multi-story structures, safety standards dictate that evacuation of any individual floor should take no more than 2.5 to 3 minutes from the start of the alarm. For a full high-rise tower, the evacuation plan targets clearing all occupants to a safe assembly point on the ground within 5 to 8 minutes using fire escape staircases.
