Description & Overview

FirePause Commercial Kitchen Wet Chemical Suppression System

The FirePause Kitchen Wet Chemical Suppression System is a fixed, pre-engineered suppression solution specifically designed to protect commercial cooking equipment – deep fryers, grills, woks, and range hoods – from Class F (cooking oil) fires. The potassium-acetate based wet chemical agent rapidly saponifies burning oil, forming a soapy foam blanket that seals the oil surface and prevents re-ignition.

Key Features

  • Agent: Wet chemical (potassium acetate) – specifically formulated for high-temperature cooking oil fires
  • Fixed System: Pre-engineered nozzle layout covering hood filters, cooking surface, and exhaust duct
  • Auto Fuel Shut-off: Mechanical or pneumatic fuel cut-off valve included to isolate gas supply on activation
  • Activation: Automatic (fusible link at 182°C) or manual pull-station
  • Coverage: Configurable for 1–4 cooking appliance protection zones
  • Alarm Output: Dry contact relay for connection to main fire alarm panel
  • Certification: UL 300 and EN 15614 tested agent; IS compliant installation

Ideal Applications

  • Hotel and restaurant commercial kitchens
  • Hospital and institutional mess kitchens
  • Fast food chains and cloud kitchen operations
  • Industrial canteen and catering units

Professional installation and annual inspection mandatory. System includes cylinder, nozzle assembly, piping, detection links, and alarm interface.
